Enhancing the retail consumer experience with AI

AI adoption extends to the shopper’s journey, with two-thirds of surveyed consumers reporting using AI while shopping. Popular use cases include price comparisons, checking product availability, and simplifying checkout experiences. These tools are reshaping how consumers interact with retailers, offering faster transactions, streamlined decision-making, and personalized recommendations.

As AI becomes integral to omnichannel strategies, retailers aim to deploy it across return management, customer service automation, and inventory monitoring. This focus on seamless, AI-driven processes ensures retailers can meet consumer expectations while navigating the complexities of modern retail operations.

Honeywell’s survey highlights the transformative potential of AI in addressing industry pain points, improving workforce engagement, and enhancing shopper experiences. With significant investments planned for 2025, AI is a cornerstone of the retail industry’s future.
