New Partnership For Big Data Analytics in the Cloud

Global data management solution provider Hortonworks has collaborated with Alphabet, and upgraded its existing partnership with Google Cloud. The enhancements increase optimization of Hortonworks Data Platform and Hortonworks Data Flow for Google Cloud Platform to deliver big data analytics for hybrid cloud deployments.

Hortonworks Data Platform’s integration with Google Cloud Storage enables customers to run big data workloads. Customers benefit from:

• Flexibility and agility for ephemeral workloads: Users can quickly create on-demand analytics workloads with zero up-front cost and unlimited elastic scale
• Fast analytics at scale: Users can leverage Apache Hive and Apache Spark for interactive query, machine learning, and data analytics
• Automated cloud provisioning
• The ability to deploy a hybrid data architecture
• Real-time streaming analytics

Customers will benefit by using innovation from the open source community to obtain faster insights. The partnership allows both companies’ customers take advantage of the cloud’s scalability, flexibility, and agility — important when they’re running analytics and IoT workloads at scale with HDP and HDF.
