Panasonic has announced that operational performance analytics and mobile workforce solution provider Cognito iQ has joined its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) program. The new partnership will allow Panasonic to offer its Toughbook notebook, tablet and handheld devices with Cognito iQ’s software solutions. Cognito’s mobile workforce application is designed for field workers, retail logistics and facilities management and enables them to connect with the back office in real-time.

Cognito iQ OPA is real-time analytics tool that provides users with a dashboard to access streaming data from the field including task allocation, fix rates, completed within Service Level Agreements (SLA) and tasks outside the SLA. The analytics tool also allows historical and current performance to be compared and used to identify regional and seasonal trends and highs and lows in employee performance.

“Businesses need mobile workforce solutions that transform the productivity and performance of their employees and the key to getting the best from these deployments is to ensure that the hardware and software applications work seamlessly together. By choosing Panasonic and Cognito iQ businesses can be assured that they not only have the best hardware and software providers but that both organizations are also committed to collaborating together to deliver the best possible solutions for our customers,” said Georgina Barker, Channel Manager at Cognito iQ.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions is already using the team of Panasonic Toughpad tablets and Cognito iQ’s software to improve customer experience and productivity. The company says implementing the combination has resulted in a 30% increase in productivity, reduced turnover and happier customers.

Sylvaine Smith, European Business Development Manager for Panasonic Computer Product Solutions, said: “Cognito iQ’s rich heritage in mobile workforce solutions and our already successful track record of delivering transformational benefits for mutual customers such as Konica Minolta meant that Cognito iQ was a natural choice for our ISV Programme, specifically in the UK. Together, we provide a total mobile workforce solution for businesses in the field engineering sector.”
