Snowflake announced new innovations that bridge the gap between what enterprises ask AI agents to do and what those agents act on and understand about the business. The announcements include significant updates to Snowflake CoCo, the coding agent for data teams, and Snowflake CoWork, the personal work agent for knowledge workers, to help the agents better understand how each business runs, let them take on recurring work on their own, and help them improve with each request.
Additionally, the company announced new innovations that put context, security, and governance at the foundation of every AI agent. Snowflake is bringing the new capabilities to Horizon Context, the home for governed business context inside Snowflake Horizon Catalog.
Google Cloud announced new Agentic Data Cloud updates aimed at helping enterprises build their agentic data architectures. The updates address a big production challenge: giving agents accurate, governed context across data spread among clouds, SaaS apps, and operational systems. Key updates include:
· Borderless Lakehouse: Gemini can now work directly across data in the borderless Lakehouse, allowing business users to query records across clouds in natural language while agents use that data to ground reasoning and drive business workflows.
· AlloyDB: New integrations with the Borderless Lakehouse let developers query Iceberg tables directly from AlloyDB and join live transactional data with historical lakehouse data in a single PostgreSQL query, without ETL pipelines or data copies.
· Knowledge Catalog: New self-learning enrichment and a studio experience (both in preview) help agents continuously build and govern context from sources including Workspace, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
Real-time analytics news in brief
Block introduced Builderlab, an enterprise intelligence toolkit for companies ready to move beyond individual AI tools and build around people and agents working together. The solution provides managed identity and permissions, tool access, cloud execution, model access and routing, apps, administration, and support. At its center is Buzz, the company’s open-source workspace.
Buoyant, the creators of Linkerd, announced the general availability of Kinference [kay-inference], an open-source inference control plane for Kubernetes. Building on top of the open-source vLLM inference engine, Kinference enables organizations to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective inference across multiple models, GPUs, and machines, while providing the governance and policies necessary for enterprise use at scale.
CloudBolt Software announced the agent governance capabilities in CloudBolt CMP that customers are using to bring AI agents into infrastructure operations. AI agents provision and manage infrastructure under the same policies, permissions, and limits that apply to humans. Platform teams decide which actions agents can run and which credentials and authentication agents can use, and CMP enforces those decisions every time an agent acts.
Conduktor announced Conduktor Agents, a new set of AI agents within the existing Conduktor product Console that continuously monitor enterprise Kafka environments, identify emerging risks, and recommend specific fixes for teams to review and approve. Conduktor Agents are available now.
Countly, the European analytics platform built on an open-source, self-hosted model, launched Countly 27, expanding its AI analytics and product intelligence capabilities to give teams greater visibility into how their products and AI-powered features perform. Key updates include AI performance monitoring, AI-powered investigations, more flexible product analysis, and integrated customer engagement.
Kihan announced its formation and the introduction of a mathematically based architecture designed to make artificial intelligence governance enforceable at the point of execution. Its Constitutional Computing is designed to prevent unauthorized AI agent actions before they can affect enterprise systems.
LexisNexis Risk Solutions extended its risk intelligence solutions to help organizations understand and assess a new class of digital actor: AI agents operating on behalf of people and businesses. Know Your Agent (KYA) intelligence adds a new layer of agentic insights to LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ digital identity and fraud prevention platform. It helps organizations recognize when AI agents are interacting with their digital services and can bring those interactions directly into established risk assessment and decisioning workflows.
MariaDB plc announced MariaDB Enterprise Platform 2027, a release that delivers higher peak throughput, stronger resilience for multi-region deployments, and faster ways to build and run AI agents. The solution spans mission-critical transactions, real-time analytics, in-memory speed, AI tooling, and multi-region scale on one unified platform.
Observe.AI announced Headless Companion Agent, a new deployment model for its real-time AI assistant that brings AI-powered guidance and automation into the systems frontline teams already use, without requiring another application, window, or embedded interface. With Headless Companion Agent, the intelligence runs in the background while enterprises control where and how its outputs appear.
PhoenixAI launched Contextbase, a context infrastructure for AI agents. The solution stores semantics, knowledge, memory, traces, and evaluations as context in one system, so agents understand, reason, and act better with every run.
Sysdig announced the general availability of Sysdig AI Defense, providing runtime security and governance for AI agents. The solution sees every action an agent takes, from the endpoint where it starts to the cloud it can reach, and uses an organization's policies to decide whether to allow an action, ask the user to confirm it, or block it before it completes.
Partnerships, collaborations, and more
Box announced an expanded collaboration with NVIDIA that enables organizations to securely execute AI-powered workflows at scale. Box is introducing Box Context Retrieval, a new engine powered by NVIDIA Nemotron models, and bringing the NVIDIA Nemotron family of frontier-level open-weight models to Box AI. Box and NVIDIA are also extending security and governance to agent execution through NVIDIA OpenShell.
Confluent, an IBM company, announced new capabilities for building a Streamhouse. With Lightning Tables now generally available on AWS, Confluent completes its five-pillar Data Streaming Platform, bringing capabilities to Stream, Connect, Process, Govern, and now Query data together in a unified platform for building a Streamhouse.
Databricks announced that Lakebase Postgres is generally available on Google Cloud. Teams building on Google Cloud can now run production-grade, serverless Postgres directly on the Databricks Data + AI Platform.
Supermicro announced a new KV cache storage solution with IBM and NVIDIA. The joint solution integrates Supermicro Petascale all-flash storage servers using AMD EPYC 9005 Series processors (Turin), IBM Storage Scale software, along with NVIDIA Dynamo inference framework software and Spectrum-X Ethernet networking.
