Redis Labs, the provider of open-source in-memory database platform Redis and database-as-a-service Redis Enterprise, announced relationship services provider eHarmony has selected the platform to run and manage their real-time applications. The company uses Redis Enterprise to deliver an improved customer experience that includes real-time analytics, newsfeeds and profile data, and low latency match searches for both desktop and mobile app users.

Redis’s services enable companies to power and manage ecommerce, IoT, fraud detection, metering, personalization and other real-time applications using NoSQL and operational databases in addition to their in-memory database and database-as-a-service offerings.

eHarmony’s ongoing efforts to reduce operational overhead helped spur their decision to use Redis. The Redis Enterprise platform is touted as simplifying data storage processes to reduce resource load and time to market.

Prateek Jain, VP and Head of Technology from eHarmony stated in the announcement, “Customer experience is critical to eHarmony. Redis Enterprise has been selected to provide us with the needed high availability, scalability and service we expect from a real-time, low latency, enterprise grade database. We look forward to expanding our use of this technology to additional use cases.”
