Snowflake made history Wednesday after conducting the largest-ever software IPO and seeing its shares surge on their first day of trading. The stock ended the day around $254, valuing the company at $70 billion, after it priced the offering at $120 per share. Snowflake offers a cloud-based data storage and analytics service. It lets businesses store and analyze data using cloud-based hardware and software. Snowflake runs on Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, and on the Google Cloud Platform. Its Snowflake Data Exchange allows customers to discover, exchange, and securely share data.

UneeQ, a developer of a digital human platform that allows businesses to design and launch AI chatbots that recreate human interaction, announced IBM, Deloitte, and DXC are partnering with the companyto help customers along their AI journeys. They are the first of many to join UneeQ’s Partner Program, which is a community of technologists, creative minds, and business professionals who are devoted to building great customer experiences. The program consists of referral, technology, consulting, as well as strategic partnerships with our handpicked global alliances. The program enables companies of all professions, including NLP, NLG, chatbot, web design, and consultants, to service the broader digital human customer community and drive incremental revenue. The collaboration builds on the company’s work in the field. Specifically, the launch in July of its newly released UneeQ Creator. UneeQ Creator enables anyone to design, develop, and deploy their own customized, AI-powered digital human in a matter of minutes.

Cloudera announced new and upcoming enterprise data cloud services on the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP). The new offerings include CDP Data Engineering, CDP Operational Database, and CDP Data Visualization. The new services are analytic experiences designed specifically for data specialists and, unlike general-purpose services that require add-ons for critical capabilities like workflow automation, job prioritization, and performance tuning, including these key capabilities to help data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists work smarter and faster. CDP enterprise data cloud services are purpose-built to enable data specialists to confidently navigate the storm of exponential data growth and siloed data analytics operating across multiple public and private clouds.

Cuddle announced it has joined the Nielsen Connect Partner Network, the largest open ecosystem of tech-driven solution providers for retailers and manufacturers in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. The new relationship activates Nielsen data for customers at an unprecedented level. A subsidiary of Fractal, a global provider of artificial intelligence and analytics to Fortune 500 companies, New York-based Cuddle is a voice-enabled solution that automatically detects patterns in enterprise data and alerts users on what they need to know. As a network partner, Cuddle’s AI will continuously scan Nielsen data to automatically discover important insights for customers, such as an abnormal share change for a bestselling SKU, or pricing activity by a competitor. The solution will also automatically find out the possible root causes for these effects and send them to the responsible brand manager. Additionally, Cuddle’s AI-powered Analytics Co-Pilot will help business leaders access Nielsen data to determine what actions need to be taken, and when.

TriggerMesh, a cloud-native integration platform provider built on Kubernetes, and a member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced TriggerMesh Cloud Native Integration platform is available on Oracle Cloud Marketplace. Oracle Cloud Marketplace is a centralized repository of enterprise applications offered by Oracle and Oracle PartnerNetwork members. The TriggerMesh platform enables real-time integration with Oracle Database and other Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services. The TriggerMesh cloud-native integration platform allows customers to integrate services, automate workflows, and accelerate the movement of information across their organizations. TriggerMesh lets companies build event-driven applications out of any on-premises application or any cloud service.

Intel announced a series of collaborations with Baidu in artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, data center, and cloud computing infrastructure. Building on recent collaborative efforts, the companies shared details on the two companies’ strategic vision to jointly drive the industry’s intelligent transformation within the cloud, network, and edge computing environments. Areas of joint interest include AI in the cloud, next-gen server architecture, networking, smart NICs, and 5G and edge.

Kofax announced a new release of its Intelligent Automation Platform. The new release accelerates organizations’ automation initiatives by streamlining the development and deployment of solutions with enhanced AI-powered document intelligence, low-code capabilities, and simplified integration to third-party software applications. In addition, Kofax’s Intelligent Automation Platform can now orchestrate and leverage its cognitive capture with Kofax’s RPA software as well as other leading third-party RPA products. Kofax customers can now use its market-leading cognitive capture and process orchestration to seamlessly govern and scale Kofax RPA and third-party RPA products, such as those from UI Path™, Automation Anywhere™, and Blue Prism™.

C3.ai invited data scientists, developers, researchers, and creative thinkers from around the world to participate in the C3.ai COVID-19 Grand Challenge. The competition invites participants to leverage data science techniques in new and innovative ways to generate insights that previously were neither apparent nor achievable. A panel of judges will evaluate submissions on the extent to which they derive insights, leveraging data science techniques (e.g., statistical analyses, AI/ML algorithms, optimization approaches, etc.) that were not obvious before.

DataRobot announced enhancements to its AI platform. DataRobot’s latest release provides new capabilities for every step in the data science lifecycle, including next-level feature discovery, a new comprehensive autopilot mode to maximize accuracy, anomaly assessment insights, enhanced model comparisons, and governed approval workflows for MLOps (machine learning operations). DataRobot’s latest release also allows users to connect directly to their GitHub and S3 repositories and dynamically pull model code and artifacts into DataRobot, making it simple to package, test, and deploy models in their production environment of choice.

VMware unveiled new offerings to help customers further accelerate their app and infrastructure modernization initiatives. VMware vSphere 7 Update 1, VMware vSAN 7 Update 1, and VMware Cloud Foundation 4.1 product releases streamline customer adoption of Kubernetes and support stateful applications with new developer-ready capabilities and enhance scalability and operations with new features. VMware today also announced Tanzu editions—packaging portfolio capabilities to address the most common scenarios customers encounter in their modernization efforts.
