AI venture fund Analytics Ventures has added a new AI-based trading platform to its venture portfolio. AlphaTrAI is an automated platform that combines the latest explainable AI techniques with multiple trading strategies. The company’s three-year backtesting results have shown it outperforms the S&P 500 and they are now moving to live real-time trading.

A team of AI scientists with backgrounds in financial markets, signal processing, and computational physics built AlphaTrAI. The platform incorporates concepts from quantum physics and trading strategies.

The platform’s end-to-end design converts AI models to successful trades and provide real-time tracking and dashboarding.

It uses proprietary algorithms designed for constant market adjustments to generate projections and insights on:

  • Price prediction
  • Event detection
  • Stock Selection
  • Trade execution

During backtesting, AlphaTrAI consistently outperformed top hedge funds.

“I’ve been incredibly impressed with the unmatched bench strength of AI talent working behind the scenes to develop AlphaTrAI,” says Bill Dwyer, former president of LPL Financial. “The results achieved during the validation phase, which include a 24 percent increase in fund value versus Standard & Poors fund growth of 1.79 percent over the same period, speak for themselves.”

“I have been in the investment management business for 35 years and have consistently maintained a cynical view of black-box quantitative trading systems,” says Michael Rosen, CEO Context Capital Management. “The Analytics Ventures trading platform, AlphaTrAI, however, is the first I have been exposed to that seems to use AI to the fullest.”
