The new tools are a part of the company’s upgrade of its multi-cloud analytics and management platform for data centers.

Cybersecurity solution provider A10 Networks has announced a substantial upgrade to A10 Harmony Controller, its multi-cloud analytics and management platform. The upgrade — which includes real-time security analytics — features new app modules that support the company’s security solutions including Thunder SSLi (SSL Insight), Thunder CFW (Convergent Firewall), and Thunder CGN (Carrier-Grade Networking)

The app modules further expand A10’s advanced security and connected intelligence solutions for data centers. The A10 Harmony Controller 4.1 includes deeper analytics and increased visibility and insights into app traffic to improve security and troubleshooting.

“Today, with applications deployed on a multitude of cloud and on-premises infrastructures [across data centers], app and security teams feel pressured to ensure prevent security and availability from compromise,” says Kamal Anand, VP of Cloud, A10 Networks. “The A10 Harmony Controller 4.1 enables a single pane of glass for secure app services, helping to ease the stress and burden that are weighing on IT teams.”

The upgrade also introduces a new flexible framework that allows the on-demand installation of pluggable apps. This option enhances the A10 Harmony platform further with use case specific alerts and insights. Key A10 infrastructure apps initially available include:

  • SSLi App for encrypted traffic, user behavior, and key information insights with the Thunder SSLi solution. The SSLi App also introduces enhanced centralized management and simplified workflows for Thunder SSLi deployment and operations.
  • GiFW App for application, policy, and performance insights with Thunder CFW’s GiFW (Gi Firewall) solution.
  • GN App for subscriber and network services visibility with Thunder CGN’s CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT) solution.

The upgraded A10 Harmony Controller is expected to enter general availability in Q3 of 2018. No pricing info has yet been made available.
