Living PlanIT Wins Award for Smart City OS

Company commended for its smart city middleware.

Living PlanIT’s Urban Operating System took home a visionary innovation leadership award from Frost & Sullivan on Nov. 16.

The Urban Operating System is marketed as a comprehensive, edgeless platform that acts as “middleware, allowing sensors, devices and users to be integrated for seamless IoT management.” The OS includes architecture for digital and biological sensors; predictive analytics; machine learning; and visualization.

Living PlanIT, which has projects at London City Airport and Copenhagen, has “continuously refined the sensing and control capabilities of the PlanIT UOS™, as well as its data fusion and insight generation methodologies in key vertical solutions including retail, energy, transportation, airports and other urban solutions,” said Frost & Sullivan Senior Research Analyst Robin Varghese.
