AMD and its partners made a number of announcements at this week’s Advancing AI 2026 conference, the company’s annual developer, customer, and partner conference. At the event, AMD announced the launch of AMD Instinct MI400 Series GPUs, the next generation of AMD data center GPUs engineered to redefine AI and high-performance computing (HPC) at every scale. The family includes the AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs for frontier AI and AI factory deployments and the AMD Instinct MI430X GPU for sovereign AI and HPC. The MI400 series combines leadership compute and networking performance, high-bandwidth HBM4 memory, advanced security, and scalable system architectures to help organizations deploy, scale, and manage AI and HPC workloads with flexibility and confidence.

Partner announcements:

Aerospike showcased its database powering Google’s AI stack, including Gemini, the Agent Development Kit (ADK), and Cloud C4D virtual machines, powered by 5th Gen AMD EPYC processors, delivering fast, predictable transaction processing for instant fraud detection at massive scale. In this work, the company’s multi-threaded, NUMA-aware Hybrid Memory Architecture fully utilizes available hardware resources, forming the foundation of our collaboration with AMD and Google Cloud to power infrastructure for agentic AI applications.

Anthropic announced a strategic partnership to deploy up to 2 gigawatts of AMD Instinct MI450 Series GPUs in AMD Helios rack-scale solutions, with deployment of the first gigawatt beginning in the first half of 2027. Specifically, Anthropic will deploy AMD Helios rack-scale solutions featuring AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs, part of the AMD Instinct MI450 Series, together with AMD EPYC “Venice” CPUs, AMD Pensando networking and ROCm software.

Cerebras Systems announced a technical partnership with AMD to deliver a new disaggregated AI inference solution that combines AMD Helios rackscale solutions with the Cerebras Wafer-Scale Engine. The solution is designed to deliver the ultra-low latency required for the most advanced AI applications while dramatically increasing the throughput and efficiency.

DriveNets announced the publication of an end-to-end reference architecture that defines a validated design blueprint for building high-performance AI infrastructure using AMD Instinct MI350 series GPUs and DriveNets AI Fabric.

Lenovo published a new StoryHub post outlining its AI infrastructure strategy and expanding on its collaboration with AMD around the AMD Helios rack-scale solution. The main themes in the post include accommodating the transition from standalone AI servers to rack-scale “AI factory” infrastructure, how hyperscalers and NeoCloud providers are approaching AI deployments at scale, and why infrastructure design, deployment expertise, and lifecycle services are becoming increasingly important as AI environments grow in complexity. 

Super Micro Computer announced its next-generation H15 server portfolio powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC 9006 Series CPUs, optimized for next-generation GPUs including AMD Instinct, and connected by AMD Pensando networking. With up to 256 cores and 512 threads, H15 systems meet the growing compute demands of cloud, enterprise, storage, high-performance computing (HPC), and agentic AI workloads. The solutions allow users to run more concurrent AI agents, accelerate enterprise applications, and maximize host-node performance while operating within existing power envelopes.

Tensormesh announced a collaboration with AMD through which the Tensormesh KV cache solution and AMD virtual memory offering will work together to allow more models to be served on fewer GPUs while retaining high KV cache hit rates and throughput even with oversubscribed high-bandwidth memory (HBM). To that end, Tensormesh is working with AMD, leveraging its GPU technology and AMD Live Context Virtualization components, and is tested using Dell servers with 8x AMD/ATI accelerators (MI355) GPUs and Dell storage.

VAST Data announced an expanded collaboration with AMD to help AI cloud providers and enterprises build and operate high-performance AI factories at scale. The collaboration brings together the VAST AI Operating System with 6th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs and AMD Instinct GPUs to support scalable training, inference and agentic AI workloads with improved efficiency, flexibility and performance.

Real-time analytics news in brief

Atos announced the launch of Atos Sovereign Cloud, a next-generation application orchestration and modernization platform designed for governments, defense organizations, healthcare providers, critical infrastructure operators and other highly regulated organizations. The solution combines enterprise cloud capabilities with an extensive set of sovereign controls for data management, operational independence, cyber resilience and AI innovation.

KXLM.ai announced the launch of its Enterprise Reasoning Platform, a solution that supports a type of artificial intelligence designed to help organizations make better decisions through structured deliberation rather than single-model responses. The platform orchestrates multiple frontier AI models that independently analyze, challenge, debate, and refine competing hypotheses before producing a conclusion.

Prismatic announced native large data sync, a set of new capabilities that enable teams to move high volumes of customer data through the same integration platform they already use to build, deploy, monitor, and manage customer-facing integrations. With large data sync, SaaS companies can deliver more reliable, data-intensive integrations faster while reducing the infrastructure burden on the engineering team.

WEKA unveiled the third generation of its WEKApod Nitro, WEKApod Prime, and WEKApod Prime Max AI storage appliances. Built to run seamlessly with WEKA’s new NeuralMesh 6 software, announced separately, the systems deliver a unified AI inference infrastructure platform designed to help AI clouds, model builders, and enterprises scale production AI workloads while reducing infrastructure costs, footprint, power consumption, and operational complexity.

Partnerships, collaborations, and more

Microsoft and Databricks announced an expansion of their decade-long strategic partnership, extending into the 2030s. Databricks will deepen its use of Azure Databricks to run core business operations and build its unified lakehouse, while leveraging Azure Cobalt, Microsoft’s Arm-based infrastructure, to improve performance and efficiency. Microsoft will also continue integrating Databricks Data and AI platform across its products, bringing capabilities like Genie, Databricks’ AI co-worker, directly into customer workflows.

Microsoft and Mistral announced a significant expansion of their strategic partnership to help enterprises and regulated industries adopt frontier AI with greater choice, control, and operational consistency. The companies are bringing Mistral’s frontier and efficient models across the Microsoft platform, including Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio, and Azure, so customers can build and run AI across a spectrum of operating environments.

Wasabi Technologies announced a strategic partnership with Megaport Limited to power the cloud object storage layer of Megaport Storage as the companies collaborate to deliver the next generation of neocloud infrastructure. Available through the Megaport platform in supported regions, the new object storage service combines Wasabi’s high-performance, cost-predictable cloud storage with Megaport’s global private network, enabling customers to provision secure, scalable object storage alongside high-speed connectivity through a single automated experience.
