Cloud-based connectivity and IoT software and services platform provider Senet Inc. has partnered with Australia-based SimplyCity, an end-to-end IoT solutions provider. The technology partnership will help farms, industries, and cities deliver environmental, community, and sustainability benefits.

SimplyCity provides a full array of smart city management solutions including:

  • Pedestrian flow monitoring

Senet will provide Network-as-a-Service connectivity to help SimplyCity clients with their digital transformation from legacy systems to modern IoT deployment. Clients will achieve cost savings, improved energy efficiency, and better planning and optimization.

A Strategic Partnership That Benefits All

“We selected Senet as our managed LoRaWAN network provider based upon their flexible coverage models, network planning and management capabilities, and reliable enterprise-level of service support,” says Ram Kuppusamy, Director of SimplyCity. “Our strategic partnership also allows us to take advantage of Senet’s vast ecosystem of certified sensor and gateway manufacturers from around the world.”

“We look forward to working with SimplyCity to provide IoT network connectivity and managed network services to support and scale customer IoT applications across many diverse markets,” says Bruce Chatterley, CEO at Senet. “SimplyCity has proven expertise solving problems for municipalities, farms, and industrial organizations by integrating and sharing critical sensor data. We are excited to be collaborating with SimplyCity to create and implement future IoT applications across Australia.”

Together the two companies are installing an environmental monitoring solution in a Western Australia salt mine. The project highlights the companies’ ability to offer solutions capable of withstanding industrial grade IoT projects under harsh conditions and in remote areas.

Local farmers and governments benefit from SimplyCity’s LoRaWAN-based agricultural productivity solutions. Additionally, communities, STEM school students, and city planners have taken advantage of the company’s “Free to Use IoT Network.” This network provides data-driven critical infrastructure and asset management solutions.

Meanwhile, Senet provides LoRaWAN services to over 80 countries via its Low Power Wide Area Virtual Network. The company also includes a suite of deployment, planning, and management services to support on-demand network expansion.
