About Laiq Ahmad

Laiq Ahmad is the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect for GE Power’s Digital Energy business. He leads the development, maintenance and governance of the software architecture across the organization, including establishing a technology research strategy and roadmap, and developing service-oriented, reusable components across teams. Laiq comes to GE from Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), where he spent the last three years as Chief Enterprise Architect, Head of Enterprise Architecture and Digital Innovations, leading the company's digital transformation strategy, architecture and roadmap. Laiq was responsible for bringing outside-in perspective to drive and develop PG&E digital transformation strategy, architecture and roadmap through enhancing operational efficiencies, next generation integrated solutions, cost containment and digital innovation. His career is marked by a long history of software experience and expertise. Laiq is a graduate of Harvard University and Boston University. He resides in San Ramon, California.
