In this week’s real-time analytics news: Verizon announced an on-premises, private edge solution; Tableau adds new analytics capabilities, and more.

Keeping pace with news and developments in the real-time analytics market can be a daunting task. We want to help by providing a summary of some of the items our staff came across each week. Here are some of the news items from this week:

Verizon announced the availability of an on-premises, private edge compute solution. Verizon 5G Edge with Microsoft Azure Stack Edge is a cloud computing platform that brings compute and storage services to the edge of the network at the customer premises providing increased efficiencies, higher levels of security, and the low lag and high bandwidth needed for applications involving computer vision, augmented and virtual reality, and machine learning.

Tableau unveiled new data and analytics platform capabilities and new enterprise subscription plans. Key new capabilities and improvements are focused on managing the data chaos and enabling data governance at scale and ensuring analytics scales with enterprise demand. New enterprise subscription plans make it even easier to procure and deploy Tableau across an entire organization. By bundling analytics with Data Management and Server Management, enterprise customers can more easily procure and deploy Tableau’s full capabilities to benefit everyone.

Run:AI announced the launch of ResearcherUI, as well as integration with machine learning tools including Kubeflow, MLflow, and Apache Airflow. The new UI option is a part of Run:AI’s “Run:it your way” initiative, enabling data scientists to choose their preferred ML tools that manage modeling and other data science processes on top of Run:AI’s compute orchestration platform.

Dynatrace, in partnership with Microsoft, announced a new integration that provides full application data transparency into applications deployed on Azure Spring Cloud. Building on Dynatrace’s ability to provide automatic and intelligent observability without requiring any code changes, this integration will allow organizations to closely monitor and maintain the performance and health of applications running on Azure Spring Cloud.

CircleCI announced CircleCI webhooks, a feature that provides software engineering teams the ability to build integrations that react to CircleCI job and workflow status notifications. As part of this release, CircleCI will be one of the first CI/CD platforms to integrate with Datadog’s new CI Visibility tool to visualize key CircleCI metrics, like the number of failed builds or the average build time, for Datadog users. Additionally, webhooks offers CircleCI and Sumo Logic integration that collects events from CircleCI to better track the performance and health of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Broadcom announced the latest release of DX NetOps network monitoring software. With the release of DX NetOps 21.2, Broadcom addresses evolving user challenges and helps its customers meet modern networking demands. New features and capabilities in the release increase scale and speed, offer greater simplicity and enhance security.

Gluware, Inc. announced the availability of Gluware 4.1. The update introduces Data Explorer, a new Gluware application that offers visibility into network data. Data Explorer enables NetOps teams to automate based on actionable, data-driven insights to enhance network agility, performance, and security.

HVR announced HVR 6.0, a scalable data replication solution to integrate large data volumes in complex environments. With new features and enhanced capabilities, as well as a reimagined user interface, HVR 6.0 enables simplified data integration deployments and modern manageability, helping organizations more readily adopt DataOps strategies to fully harness the power of their data.

Real-time analytics news in brief:

The Linux Foundation announced that Ent, an entity framework for Go that was developed and open-sourced by Facebook in 2019, has moved under the governance of the Linux Foundation to help accelerate its development and foster the community of developers and companies using it.

C3 AI and Google Cloud today announced a partnership to help organizations accelerate their application of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. Under the agreement, both companies’ global sales teams will co-sell C3 AI’s enterprise AI applications, running on Google Cloud.

OneStream Software previewed new AI services and machine learning capabilities. The new AI services and ML capabilities will allow finance and operations teams to easily incorporate advanced forecasting and other ML techniques into their existing planning processes.

Botco.ai announced the launch of BotcoLive, a new feature that hands over automated chat conversations to live agents when a visitor hits key milestones. Working with Botco.ai’s intelligent chat technology solution, BotcoLive allows healthcare providers to accelerate their lead qualification process and drive more conversions.

Dremio announced the launch of the Dremio Partner Network for the BI and analytics ecosystem. The global Partner Network includes Dremio’s cloud, technology, consulting, and system integration (SI) partners such as AWS, Intel, Microsoft, Tableau, Privacera, dbt Labs, Twingo, InterWorks, and others. 

InRule Technology announced the acquisition of Barium AB. By augmenting the InRule Decision Platform with Barium’s low-code DPA platform, enterprises can use a single platform that pairs the power of AI, including automated decisions and explainable machine learning, with digital process automation.

KORE announced that it is expanding its international partnership with Everynet into the U.S. at a time when the need to capture and transport small packets of data is growing and use cases for Massive IoT are accelerating. KORE customers will have the opportunity to take advantage of the new LoRaWAN network Everynet is currently building in the U.S.

Accedian announced a strategic collaboration with Cisco to deliver business insights through a cloud-native, single pane-of-glass view of network and service performance. Cisco will offer Accedian’s Skylight for near real-time network performance monitoring, analytics, and assurance within its Cisco Crosswork Network Automation platform to offer Accedian Skylight for Cisco Network Automation, a complete solution for orchestrated service assurance.  

The SKEEPERS Group has launched a new addition to its product suite, CX Management. The low-code platform – a combination of recently acquired international startups MyFeelBack and Mediatech-CX – streamlines the customer feedback process for brands to inform data-driven decision-making.

Observe.AI announced its entry into omnichannel conversation intelligence following its acquisition of ScopeAI. With the acquisition, Observe.AI’s Omnichannel product offerings have expanded to a full suite of voice and text-based conversation intelligence offerings that include purpose-built workflows for Quality Assurance and Agent Performance and Coaching.

Vesttoo announced that it has joined NVIDIA Inception. NVIDIA Inception will allow Vesttoo to further develop its technologies to support its growing global pipeline and insurance-linked program (ILP), Vesttoo’s security-based investment portfolio.
